Case Study: My Experience With Designs

Know These New Trends in Website Design and Produce an Exciting Site

Some considered the early development of websites in the internet as monotonous and boring which is actually a normal outcome for something just newly developed. But today, as further developments are constantly out, there are now web design trends that will make our websites better than they were originally designed.

We observe more use and a little over the top of white space that search engine platforms find something undetectable, but people are watching where this trend will be going.

Major websites are taking on the minimalist vibe today that proves minimalism is not just for barefoot runners and Amish people but also on the internet. But be aware that you cannot just easily project a minimalist image because this image needs practice before application. Thus you still have to implement the principles of basic design which is the rule of threes as the design’s major aspect, such as dividing the page up into thirds and positioning the content on these lines. Serving well for a minimalist website is the triangular placement, wherein you will offset different objects in a triangular trajectories giving a pleasant outcome.

Another application to site design may not be new but its content of compartmentalizing is becoming a trend. A new flavour is added to the compartmentalizing content through this flat design approach and judged to be compelling, and it is described as bringing the content towards the edges of the page thereby making one image meet another, thus a seamless image is created.

The next trend is coloring of both sides of the line, a contradictory to our past lessons, and this is combined with overlapping images and text lines producing a knock out design.

Web designers nowadays are not only sticking to the white space but are also incorporating grids and other patterns and still maintaining the flow.

Another fun web design trend is going vertical when the content design is re-arranged and re-shaped. The concept is to balance the vertical text to that of the horizontal text in order to create a sort of movement, and if done correctly, a viewer’s eyes will be led down the page to the highlighted content.

The next trend that web designers are applying is the two-tone approach, where they combined a pastel color with a solid color. There are some sites now that use this technique on every page and element of the site that could be sometimes over the top, but it is the trend so why not.

Another trend today would be loved by illustrators and designers, and this is the use of illustrations which are meant to balance out the minimalist image of the site.
